2021 Strawhouse Chardonnay

The Chardonnay fruit for this wine comes from one of our neighbours. Barrel fermentation, lees stirring, wild yeast and new (1/3) and older French oak barrels. A cool-climate style with zesty citrus, stonefruit and freshness. The 2021 growing season was cool so this wine is at the lighter end of the Chardonnay spectrum. Oak and malolactic fermentation characters are held in check. Will age well.
