2022 Strawhouse Chardonnay

2022 was a very good growing season for Chardonnay. Barrel fermentation, lees stirring and new & older French oak barrels. A lifted cool-climate style with a core of rich stone fruit flavours, fresh natural acidity and a complex finish. This wine has a bit of style, old-fashioned like the wines that Murray Smith used to make. One third new oak, one third second use and the balance older. May throw a harmless, natural crystal tartrate deposit.
