100% Shiraz, the 2022 WPK displays the typical intensity of the low-cropping Strawhouse Vineyard. The wine has lifted exotic spice flavours with a medium bodied palate and soft textured tannins. The wine is named for our grandson, Walter - we hope we can keep some bottles until he is 18! This is a barrel selection of our favourite three Shiraz barrels from the vintage - so (like Walter) it is a special limited edition. Hand-picked, sorted and plunged, this wine is an excellent expression of cool climate Shiraz.
